Shop To Stop Relationship Abuse & Support Sustainable Retail
Our spacious and well-presented charity superstore provides the ultimate high-end, pre-loved shopping experience for all your quality used fashion, furniture, and homeware needs.
We offer a wonderful selection of donated quality used books, toys and picture frames, unwanted gifts and much more. Show-stopping window displays created by Carol are a great source of interest and admiration. The theme of her 2022 award-winning window display was October Reuse Month. It celebrated creativity, sense of achievement and joy as well as the practical and environmental benefits derived from repurposing waste textile materials like denim and men’s ties or upcycling furniture which would otherwise end up in landfill.
All proceeds from the sale of people’s kind donations support Clare Haven’s domestic abuse services and Haven Horizons’ educational programmes and research projects aimed at preventing and ending relationship abuse.
In line with our policy of inclusiveness and workplace integration, Haven Horizons collaborates with Employability Clare to provide some of their clients with part time employment. We also continue to provide volunteering opportunities for a number of clients of the Brothers of Charity organisation which supports people with special needs.
This powerful group of resilient and hard-working women deserve to be recognised for their enormous commitment in supporting our charitable cause which they can relate to so well. It is also a wonderful story of successful integration of refugees into our community.
Our Textiles Sorting Depot has become their daily workplace and a welcome diversion from witnessing the devastating destruction of their country and killing and maiming of their loved ones in the media.
Pop Up Markets
One of the many ways we try to reach out more customers is taking part in pop up markets. We travel to UCC, NUIG and Clare-based outdoor markets with a selection of the best that the fashion store can offer.
We pride ourselves in providing a top-class charity retail customer and donor experience and are constantly looking for ways to improve our service. Check out our excellent reviews on Google My Business where we receive a consistently high rating.
Our Donations Depot is located at Eircode V95 C8HN. We offer a free collection service of quality used furniture items in the Clare / Limerick region. Please send photos of your furniture items in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get in touch to arrange a collection date that suits your schedule.
There is also a delivery service available and free parking at the depot.
NOTE: For health and safety reasons we cannot accept beds, mattresses, nursery items, white goods or electrical items (apart from lamps).
We depend on our fantastic team of volunteers who are the lifeblood of our charity store. Current opportunities include:
